I remember starting my reading and writing class and I thought to myself, what I have gotten myself into. My professor was strict I would say but at the same time shehas taught me a lot of writing techniques as well as striving to be the best that I can be.
I really feel that I deserve an A in her class and the reason being is I have given my all in her class. I have taken the time to learn how to write all over again even if it meant staying up to three in the morning. I also have studied the information that she have given to me and did all of my research. I would go to the tutoring center and have them tutor me as well. So I really believe that I should get a good grade for my performance, my work, dedication, and given my all in class. Learning how to annotate an article was very hard for me in the beginning. My professor would show us examples of how to annotate. So I took what she had given me and I went home to look up the word annotate in a dictionary and I wrote the meaning down.
I used what my professor had given me and I begin to practice, and as I practice I notice I started understanding the concept of writing. You have to first draw the main idea out of what you are writing about. It then gives you more specific details on what to write about. Secondly, I had to do my first article, I had to analyze the article and I was so nervous about it. I went back to the article I had to annotate and I followed the step s and her directions that she gave me. For example, when I starting my introduction of it was difficult to sum up what the author spoke about in my own words so it took me back to step one, the annotation of the article.
You have to know what message the author is putting out. So after I used that method it became very easy to me. Last but not least I learned how to become a better reader, what I mean by that is when you read something you have to understand what you are reading. I learned that from the annotation…
